Talent Hunt 2020 (Audition Registration)

The Talent Hunt 2020 event is open for all high school students in grades 9-12 in the DC/MD/VA metropolitan area.  The contestants will complete in the categories of instrumental (classical & traditional), vocal, drama (spoken word, MIME, poetry), dance, and visual arts.   Contestants can participate in one (1) performing arts category along with the visual arts category.

The Talent Hunt event will be held on Saturday  March 7, 2020 at the Charles H. Flowers High School auditorium located at 10001 Ardwick-Ardmore Road, Springdale, Maryland 20774 from 12pm ~ 3:00pm.   Winners of the event will receive cash & trophy prices for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Cash prizes total $2,500.00!!  The overall winner in the performing arts & visual arts category will receive cash prize and will qualify to perform at the 72nd Second District Talent Hunt event (all-expense paid) which will be held at the August Wilson African-American Cultural Arts Centre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday May 2, 2020.

AUDITIONS

Auditions will be held on Saturday February 22 & 29, 2020 at the Charles H. Flowers High School at 9:30am-12:30pm.  All contestants must pre-register in the form below.  **** NOTE: Video auditions are acceptable for both performing arts & visual arts participants and but contestants must still register in the form below and input their audition link into the form field. Rap & Hip-Hop dancing is not permitted for this event.  Video auditions must be submitted with registration before 9:00pm EST on Friday February 21, 2020 **.   All participants who are selected for the event will be notified on or before 9:00pm Saturday February 29, 2020.
