Talent Hunt 2024

TALENT HUNT 2024 – “SPOTLIGHTS ON TALENT”

The Lambda Gamma Gamma (“LGG”) Chapter (an unincorporated entity) of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., in conjunction with The Uplift Foundation, has scheduled dates and times for auditions and our annual Talent Hunt event for all local District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia high school students in grades 9-12 are welcome to register and audition, which will award $2,250 in total prizes. This year’s Talent Hunt and auditions are in person! 

To participate in this year’s upcoming LGG’s “Omega’s got Talent” Talent Hunt 2024 event. Here is what you need to know and what you need to do to participate.  

  

Please adhere to the critical information below for participation:  

• Students will register at http://www.capitalregionques.org/talenthunt2024 before March 23, 2024. Also, please share the link above and the attached TH2024 advertisement. Judges will help with adjudication and selecting the winner!  

The In-person dates for auditions for Omega’s got Talent Hunt 2024:  

• February 24th from 10 AM to 1 PM and March 16th from 4 PM to 7 PM.  

Performing arts students in the areas of instrumental execution, vocal arrangement (classical, semi-classical – Broadway musical, production, movie score, gospel, and jazz, dance (ballet, modern dance, and tap), drama, and visual arts (sculpture, photography, drawing, and painting) are encouraged to audition.  New for 2024 Hip Hop rap has been added to the dramatic interpretation category and Hip Hop rap is permissible for dance routines.  *No vulgarity or profanity will be accepted and attire should be tactful.

  

This year’s event will award $2,250 in total prizes!   Prizes are: 1st place $200, 2nd place $100, and 3rd place $50 for each category. The overall winner wins gets an additional $500 prize! The overall winner & visual arts winner will have the opportunity to participate in the 76th Second District Talent Hunt event in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 27, 2024. This event will encompass students competing from Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.  

  

The In-person date for the LGG “SpotLights on Talent!” Talent Hunt 2024 event:  

• Saturday, March 23, 2024, from  1PM – 6PM . Light refreshments and lunch will be served. The Talent Hunt committee will award the winners in each category).

Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 1PM – 6PM 

The Talent Hunt Program of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is a mandated program that has inspired thousands of students, many of whom have made outstanding contributions to their communities and the world. Many have earned scholarships, awards, and recognition through exposure to this program. Interested students are encouraged to register and submit virtual auditions by the deadline above.
